To perform statistical downscaling from CMIP6 models to generate large numbers of synthetic TCs (including wind and rain fields) over the 21st century under varying emission scenarios (defined by the Scenarios Design circle), supporting hazard and risk analysis. To investigate how TCs will change due to climate change and how uncertainties in GCM projection propagate to TC projection, and develop methodologies to avoid bias and account for the uncertainties in TC projection. To investigate physical and statistical correlations between TCs and heatwaves, and develop methodologies to account for the correlation in modeling TC-heatwave compound hazards.
