Beach nourishment efforts by groups of communities in New Jersey, along with their nourishment outcomes are being analyzed and modeled. Regional field data is being analyzed to investigate how communities have nourished their beaches and the effects of these nourishment efforts. A numerical model is being utilized to quantify and give insight into inter-community beach nourishment dynamics. The intention of this work is to help understand how nourishment efforts affect sandy, diffusive coastlines with consideration for the interplay between geomorphology, economics, and community decision-making
