Values in Research Design

Helgeson, CaseyLead: Casey Helgeson
Counselor: Nancy Tuana

The purpose of this circle is to help make MACH research relevant to engaged stakeholders in light of what those stakeholders care about. We go about this by learning about stakeholder perspectives on climate risks and structuring that information in a way that facilitates its use in research design (especially, but not limited to, decision analyses). Specifically, we will analyze transcripts of listening sessions and interviews in Philadelphia. As a starting point, we will document stakeholder goals and concerns with respect to their location within a collaboratively developed conceptual model reflecting MACH team members’ understanding of residential structural adaptation. Further analyses with respect to other adaptation strategies may follow.
