External Evaluation of MACH
External Evaluation Year 1 - 4
Carleton College’s Science Education Resource Center (SERC) Evaluation & Research Team serves as the external evaluation and learning partner to MACH.
In that role, they are responsible for exploring whether and how the MACH project is being implemented in accordance with the original plans (and documenting decision making that intentionally alters those plans as warranted); documenting the growth and functioning of the MACH network through an annual Social Network Analysis survey; looking at progress and achievements of MACHs Broader Impacts plan and associated programming; and establishing MACH’s workforce development activities and achievements. This team serves as thought partners to assist project personnel in the design and implementation of adaptations to the project as guided by their findings.
In Spring 2026, they released their recent evaluation of MACH Year 1 through Year 4.
